Welcome to The Holt Dramatic Society. In the following pages you will find out all you need to know about the Society, so please browse and feel free to contact us with any comments as we welcome input from everyone. The present society was formed in 1966 from the ashes of the St Katherine’s Players. In 1979 we were the first amateur production company to stage an outdoor ‘Shakespeare’ event, and as the leader for this form of summer entertainment we are delighted that so many other companies have followed our early lead and now stage similar events. We perform 3 productions every year, with a biennial outdoor Shakespeare or similar production in the summer, a traditional pantomime, and an eclectic range of plays from farce to tragedy... why not look at some of our past productions by clicking the Past productions tab above.
We not only need audiences but also actors of all shapes, sizes and ages, and if treading the boards is not your style then why not consider becoming involved in the myriad roles backstage or front of house? Maybe dressing up for the evening and being the barperson or ticket collector appeals? Whether you are considering coming to our next production or becoming more actively involved in your local Society we will give you a warm and friendly welcome.

Tickets are available to book well before they go on general release. Once patrons allocation has been finalised, on-line sales will be allocated seats prior to general sale. So you can be assured of getting some of the best seats in the house!
